ICS Craft Show

I had the opportunity to participate in the ICS Craft show last month.  This was my first craft show experience in 10 years and there was a nice turn out for the day even though it snowed all day.  We meaning the crafters were afraid no one would show up, but they did.  This is what my table looked like before the show began.

In the end, my biggest seller was my soap.

Another popular item was the sugar scrub soaps.  These were really interesting to make.  I tried these myself and I liked the way my skin felt afterward.  One small bar is good for one wash only.  You break a piece off and crumble it in your hand and basically rub it against your skin and it clean and exfoliates your skin at the same time.

I kept getting told that my table smelled amazing.  The funny part of the day was that everyone that walked by thought the cupcake fizzys were real cupcakes until I told them what they really were.  They thought they were genius.  Once I remembered to put out a sample of the hand cream, that started to move as well.  Overall it was a nice day and I would do another craft show.

In more recent news, one of my co-workers liked the jar of dream cream that I gave her so much, she wanted me to do gift baskets for her daughter-in-laws for the holiday.  This is what I came up with.

Enclosed is 2 bars of soap, a jar of Dream Cream, a small candle, a cupcake fizzy and a loofah sponge.  The baskets turned out to be a hit.  I am happy if they are happy.

Have a great day.

Hello

Welcome to Andrea Jennifer Designs.  This venture has been a long time coming.  I started making body products about 12 to 13 years ago but took a break from it for a while.  During my break I got married, and started taking care of my mother.  During that time I found my way back to making lotions and oils due to my eczema breakouts.  I wasn't crazy about the medications from the doctors and found that the lotions and oils I made at home calmed my skin down and I felt better.  It doesn't take the eczema away, but it calms it down and no one is the wiser.

I started giving my lotions and oils out as presents during the holidays and my friends loved the way they made their skin feel.  It was told it made their skin feel softer and it kept the dry skin away especially during the colder months.  With that the Lux Collection was born.

All of my products are natural and handmade by me.  I test everything out on myself before I sell it and I can tell you I have very sensitive skin and will break out in a heart beat.  If I can't use it, you won't see it, and it won't be available.

To kick off this venture, I'll be doing my first craft fair Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Independent Charter School.  I'll features my soaps and lotions and some handmade gifts as well.

I hope you can stop by.
